Our hearts beat with the pain of the Iranian people — people who, under the shadow of oppression and injustice, are denied a strong voice for their basic rights. Sadly, we are witnessing the recent U.S. government negotiations with the Islamic Republic regime, ignored human rights and the demands of the Iranian people, while prioritizing political interests over human values. Even the proud name of the Persian Gulf is now under threat.
Next Friday in Toronto, we will gather to be the voice of the voiceless and remind the world that human rights and our national identity are not for sale.
